Henry Anderson (MP) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Henry Anderson (MP) Sir Henry Anderson (born ca. 1582) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1614 and 1643. He supported the Royalist cause in the English Civil War. Anderson was the son of Henry Anderson of Newcastle, Northumberland. He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford on 24 November 1599, aged 17, when he was of Long Cowton, Yorkshire.〔( 'Alumni Oxonienses, 1500-1714: Abannan-Appletre', Alumni Oxonienses 1500-1714: Abannan-Kyte (1891), pp. 1-28. He was High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1615.〔 He was re-elected MP for Newcastle in the elections of 1621, 1624, 1625 and 1626.〔 Browne Willis gives Sir Francis Anderson in 1621 but Venn states Henry was MP in 1621〕 In November 1640, Anderson was elected MP for Newcastle upon Tyne in the Long Parliament 〔 and sat until he was disabled on 4 September 1643 for supporting the King.
